Go Lime Green: Mental Health Matters!

We are so excited to be partnering with the National Alliance on Mental Illness organization for South Carolina, NAMI SC, for their Suicide Prevention events in honor of September being Suicide Prevention Month. NAMI SC has invited us, along with the Hilinski’s Hope Foundation and Same Here Global, to be a part of bringing awareness to middle school and high school football games across South Carolina.

Go Lime Green: Mental Health Matters! consists of sharing a short video from Hayden Hurst, sharing his personal story, as well as a video of Ryan Hilinski, another former SC Gamecock opening up about mental health in hopes of normalizing and sparking the conversation amongst our youth. Mini football “stress-balls” were passed out to students and attendees, as well as Same Here’s wallet-sized suicide prevention tool the “L.I.F.E. Saver”.

We are looking forward to continue working together with these amazing organizations to spark the conversation and end the stigma on mental health.
